Editing The Red Shift

[[The Red Shift]] was a hardcore band formed after [[Daredevil]] broke up in 2001-2002. The band featured [[Mark Newbold]] (bass; ex- [[Shinkasta]], [[Daredevil]], [[Vargas]] and [[Evil Priest]] and [[Mark Seeney]] (drums; ex-[[Arkane]], [[Daredevil]], [[Evil Priest]] and [[Misled by Lies]]) with Aucklander ''Duncan "Pepe" Long'' (guitar) and ''Simon Bartlett'' (vocals). 

A memorable song played at Hamilton and Auckland shows was a cover of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart". The Red Shift were active in the mid 2000s but disbanded soon after.
