Fagan and Michael were both in Hamilton Boys' High School rockers [[Grinners]], and went on to form [[The New Caledonia]]. Stadium, comprising Fagan Wilcox (vocals, guitar), Simon van Oygen (guitar), Michael Taylor (bass) and Chris Fawdray (drums, later briefly replaced by Dan Nagles), were winners of the 2002 Contact 89FM Battle of the Bands. Their song The Classic was on the 2002 compilation Zero.one. In 2002 they competed in the grand final of the national Battle of the Bands competition alongside Stardrunk - the two bands hiring a bus together to take the fans up.
Fagan and Michael were both in Hamilton Boys' High School rockers Grinners, and went on to form The New Caledonia. They now reside in Melbourne and are working on their second New Caledonia album.
