Amy Racecar released their debut album Conclusions in early 2007, prior to making the jump across the ditch to Melbourne. Fueled by a no-show at a high profile venue in November, rumors started circulating that the band had broken up. These rumors we're put to rest in Jan 2009 when the band booked a practice space at 3 phase studios. In February 2008, new rumors stared circulating that the band may change their name to "Amy Race Motokā" inspired by their maori history.
