In 2006 he got a special commendation for a Radio Live promo in the same category. In 2005 he won the award for "Best Promotional Or Image Trailer for a Radio Station" for "100 Songs Jesus Could Rock Out To" at the 27th Annual New Zealand Radio Awards. In 2006 he got a special commendation for a Radio Live promo in the same category. He has also been a bass player for several Hamilton bands, including MSU, for which he went by the name Leroy Brown.
