Eightyeight is a music production research and development team based at [[DownbeatStudio]], lead by [[Daniel Howard]] (arrangements) and [[Chris Field]] (keyboards). Over a four year period from 2000 - 2004, with numerous collaborators, they managed to finish one 5 track EP called ''[[Cool Drop]]'', and gave away 500 copies. Collaborators included [Pennoire] aka [[Penni Bousfield]] (vocals), [[Paul Tregilgas]] (drums), [[Mason Riseborough|Mason "Herbie" Riseborough]] (piano) and [[Bevan Galbraith]] (bass).
