Gift were a five-piece straight-edge hardcore band that existed in the mid-ninties, formed by friends from Fraser High School. After recording a self-titled demo cassette second guitarist Phillip Johnson left to be replaced by James Hannah of the bands Nozzle and Control. The band’s sound drew heavily upon the likes of So-Cal bands Mouthpiece, Unbroken and Outspoken.

After breaking up, guitarist Kris Lynch went on to help form Vendetta, drummer Chris Diprose became the singer and guitarist for Straightline, while vocalist Jack Tarrant went on to sing for Vargas.
