Chanting Boys were a four piece band active between 1984 and 1988, which included Tim Santner. The band had a gothic rock sound. They recorded some music at the Fridge Studios, produced by John Pattenden. The band had several songs that featured on the Contact Top 20 for a number of weeks, and one song, Catherine by Night, was a hit on Radio Active in Wellington. The band moved to Sydney and became Blew Up Mind.
