Looking for Alaska is an acoustic folk/pop duo featuring Aaron Gott (guitar, vocals, percussion) and Amy Maynard (vocals, bass, percussion), who met at Wintec in late 2012. They initially performed a range of covers and originals, and cited The Civil Wars and The Decemberists as their influences. Their debut, self-titled EP, was released in October 2016, on which they added Stephen Daniell (bass), Regan McKinnon (guitars, backing vocals, percussion) and Jeremy Hantler (drums, backing vocals, recorder, percussion) to the line-up.
