3 on a Meathook were a were a skate/punk band from the early 1990s. They began by playing mainly covers of songs by The Clash, Nirvana, Lou Reed and The Ramones, although went on to play originals. The band played at several Hamilton events, including Fear and Loathing (1992), Hamapalooza (1993) and the 1993 Battle of the Bands. A song recorded at the latter event, The Dog Song, appeared on the compilation They came to take us alive.
Members were Matt Butler (vocals), Geoff Butler/Justin Greenwood (drummers), Hans Baldwin (guitar) and Richard Wood (bass). The Butlers and Baldwin were later all members of Bwa da Riddim.
