Levitating Daffodils were in existence for just over a year from mid-1989 to mid-1990. The band featured Sarah Oliver (drums), but despite a male bassist (Chris Barnett of Watershed) they were typically considered a "girl-band". Their first performance was at the A Potentially Explosive Situation gig held at Gurus on Thursday 6 July, while thier last was on the Girls Night Out night at the Womans Art Festival on 3 August 1990. They released a cassette single DoDoDoo on Orange Recordings.
