The Goth and the Pixie was formed in 2014 by Wairehu Grant (guitar; a.k.a. 'The Goth') and Macaila Pescud (violin; a.k.a. 'The Pixie'). Starting as an acoustic two-piece, by 2016 they had evolved into an electric band, with the addition of Lott Larsen (drums) and Albert Bannister (bass).
