The Wedgewood Academy, or simply Wedgewood, was in existence from 1979-1982 and was owned by Paul Fisher. Significant gigs included Crocodiles on 4, 5 February 1981, Flamingos on 11, 12 February 1981, Coup D'Etat on 18, 19 February 1981, and Flight X-7 on 25, 26 February 1981. The Politicians started playing at the Wedgewood Academy in 1981, and were the resident band on Wednesday nights. Touch of Class provided entertainment on the weekends.
The venue later became Uncle Sams.
