For a short period in the mid to late 1990s, The Exchange in southern Victoria Street was host to a number of gigs by Hamilton bands (including CD releases for Inchworm and Grok). It later changed its name to Coyotes, and then became a dance venue, Xtatic, which was the host for the Contact 89FM farewell party featuring Inchworm and Southern Tribe.
