Ceolskog is the folk metal / acoustic folk project of Adam Helliwell. He came up with the name by combining the word Ceol, a Gaelic word meaning music, with skog, which means forest in Norwegian and Swedish. After his previous band, IronStein, ended in early 2015, Adam started Ceolskog as a way of recording songs he had written, and then uploading them to his YouTube page as nature-themed music videos. Ceolskog combines hard rock and heavy metal with traditional folk music, particularly Celtic and Nordic (hence the name). Adam has recorded four Ceolskog EPs in his bedroom, mixing original songs and metal covers of folk songs. Although Ceolskog is currently just a solo project, Adam plans for it to become a proper live band sometime in the future.

"A Comfortable Tree Stump" cover art

Ceolskog is the folk metal project of Adam Helliwell. Although the primary genre is folk metal, he also dabbles into other genres, especially country rock, power metal, and acoustic folk. Adam has recorded three Ceolskog EPs and and four albums in his bedroom, mixing original songs and metal covers of folk songs. Although Ceolskog is currently a solo project, Adam plans for it to become a proper live band sometime in the future.
