Misled By Lies formed in April 1999 in Hamilton, New Zealand, and split in August 2002 due to 'creative differences'.
In that time, they recorded a couple of times, went through some line-up changes and played selected shows. A five piece, their sound was described as "beauty and chaos". Raw and powerful brutality was often the musical focus, while lyrically being a catharsis of emotions.
