Jel is a three piece band fronted by drummer Ivan Krippner (ex-Waters), formed in 1997, who has performed and recorded based out of Hamilton and Te Awamutu. While the band largely plays covers at bars (primarily Fat Bellies, Hamilton and The Ale House, Te Awamutu), Jel have also released three albums of originals written by Krippner. They released a best-of album in 2005.
