Zooper were Steve McLennan (guitar, vocals), Marcel Gyde (a.k.a. Snake; drums) and Stuart Schmidt (bass). They released the single Doomed Destiny in 1990. Tryst also appears on the 1998 compilation The Weird Lode. The band performed two farewell shows in Hamilton in 1991. McLennan later became a Hamilton City counciller. Schmidt moved to Auckland to found Crawlspace Records and its associated labels.
