The Hamilton Live Music Trust was established in 2008 through Hamilton Community Arts Council in response to several music forums. As well as looking to address the gig venue problems of Hamilton, they also organised the Band Experiments and Black Thursday gigs. They also organised the Waikato Music Expo and Circle Jerk 2017.
