Framptons was a venue operating in the early 1980s. It was previously known as The Waikato Motor Hotel, and had a capacity of 500. It was described by Walter Becker in Nexus as:
L.D. Nathans Framptons doesn't seem to have captured the imagination of anyone in particular. As a venue for enjoying rock music it hasn't worked till now. Sterile would suffice as a description of its atmosphere... for atmosphere Framptons is about as divey as Te Rapa Meats down the other end of the road.
