From 1988 Mudpeople were Nasrudin Ukrainec (a.k.a 'Naz'; vocals), Stan Jagger (guitar), Adam Hyde (guitar), Greg Locke (bass) and Lutui Fonua (drums). They released a single called Pick Your Pimples on Orange Recordings (006), which also appeared on the compilation Surf Music. They played support to Australian band Hoodoo Gurus at Faces in mid-1989.
The Mudpeople were named by Naz after the Asaro River Mudpeople. Most of their music was original but they also covered the Clean, Verlaines, Husker Du and others.4
