Between 2003 and 2006, A Low Hum was a monthly NZ-wide Tour/CD/Magazine run by music-enthusiast, musician and photographer Blink. The Hamilton tour shows were usually put on at either Sohl or Ward Lane. Each tour showcased three to four bands hand-picked by Blink. Entry fee for tour gigs was $10 for entry only, or $15 for entry, A Low Hum Magazine, and a double CD.
From 2007 A Low Hum remains active, but no longer has a monthly tour. Instead, different activities are planned for each month. This event featured Hamilton's The Shrugs, MC Stormtroopa, and The Deadly Deaths, and former Hamiltonian Pumice.
