A Top 13 was played on the final show on Contact 89FM the day it ceased broadcasting on 17 June 1998. Votes were taken from listeners’ as their favourite tracks played on Contact over the stations existence. The final Top 13 was clearly biased by songs from the stations recent history, likely reflecting the stations (and listeners') emphasis on "new music", not classic hits, and of the continually changing audience of the station. One Hamilton band, MSU, made the final Top 13.
