Ray Goodwin is best known as a guitarist for Dragon. He left the band soon after they moved to Australia. In the 1960s he was a member of Hamilton bands Third Reich Blues Band, The Jacob Manning Group and Anteapot, before moving to Auckland. He later formed OK Dinghy in Te Kuiti, a band that regularly played at Waikato University, and which resided in Hamilton for a time. The latter band eventually evolved into Dragon.
