Born in Panama to Russian-American Jews in 1946, Richard Selinkoff is a poet, and member of New Millennium Beatniks.
Spending the 1960s and '70s in the continental United States, he moved to Micronesia in the 80s, where he worked as a teacher and a journalist. He moved to Otorohanga in the 1990s as a high school teacher. In 2008, he joined with Martin Fisher on double bass to form the New Millennium Beatniks.
