Spatula Death formed in Hamilton in 1991 and released a cassette entitled "We Are Spatula". The band's members were Justin Harris (vocals, guitars, drum programming, noise), Scott Schneebeli (guitars, vocals, noise) and Scott Brodie (production, noises).
They often performed as a five piece, including Gary Clare and Matt Gould, although had enough performers at any one time to perform as an eight piece. For a number of years the organised mini-music festivals, under the guise of Spatula Death Battle of the Bands.
Three "live-to-air" songs can be found on Inside the Wireless
Spatula Death ceased playing in 1993/1994. Justin and Scott later formed Inchworm with Rob Talsma.
