Formed in April 2004 from two old high school friends, a stray vocalist and a guitarist crudely pinched from another band ([[Vetox]]), aether have fast assembled a palette of progressive songs mixing dark, clean runs interwoven with searing distortions and sonic excess, alongside the expected musical augmentation, pivot turns, multiple climaxes and denouements.

Aether

Aether was formed in April 2004 by two old high school friends, Nathan Bregmen (drums) and Ashwin Singh (bass), along with Hayden Tauroa (vocals) and Gareth Bradley (guitar; ex-Vetox).

In September 2005 Aether released their first studio recording, Chapter 9: Swearing In. They have performed regularly in Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga bars, and have played radio live-to-air sessions, slots in larger local events such as the Vampyres' Ball, the Pagan Festival and the Nightbreed Festival.
