A six piece with a funky pop style, the Pilgrims were runners up in the 1993 Contact 89FM Battle of the Bands behind Swamp Goblin and won the "Best live band award" at the 1993 Waikato Rock Awards. They released a tape EP in 1994 titled Volume Zero Point Six. Members of the band were Karl Berzins (guitar), Clayton Sinclair (bass), Dave ? (vocals), Bruce ? (drums), Sam ? (saxophone) and Stuart ? (trumpet).
