The Weird Lode was a compilation of alternative rock music from Paeroa, 1986-1996. Many of the tracks were by bands that had members who originated in Paeroa, but who had relocated to Hamilton of Auckland. The compilation includes Zooper and Steaknife who were based in Hamilton.
