Todd Hunter moved to Hamilton in 1970 from Taumaranui to attend teachers training college. There he formed several acid rock bands, including Zeke, Heavy Pork, Anteapot and OK Dinghy. Losing interest in teachers college, Hunter moved to Auckland with the rest of OK Dinghy, and in 1973 formed Dragon.
