Significant gigs there included Cold Chisel (25 June 1981), Flowers, who later became Icehouse (2 and 3 July 1981), Pink Flamingos, The Angels (23 July 1981), DD Smash (24 July 1981), Mother Goose (2 August 1981), Dave McCartney and the Pink Flamingos (17, 18 July 1981; 18 August 1981), Penknife Glides (11, 12 September 1981), DD Smash (30, 31 October 1981, Danse Macabre (27 November 1981), Bo Diddley (18, 19 December 1981), Pink Flamingos (12 February 1982) and Pop Mechanix (20 February 1982). The Swingers also played there on their 'Practical Jokers' tour on 15 and 16 October 1981. The building also housed a venue called Orange Garden Cabaret for a time, and in 1984 the building became The Riverlea Theatre and Arts Centre.
