Matthew Amoore (b. 1971) is a song writer, poet, painter and founding member of the Hamilton band WakaChickaWaka. He has been a solo artist since 1997, making various lo-fi home recordings and small
time performances in London (UK) and Christchurch (NZ). He has music published online on independent artists company (I.A.C) audiostreet.com, txt tunes, and elsewhere.
In 1991 he was bass player for Hawera band The Loon, with Shane Martin ("Floppy") and Stephen Tippet. He made a guest appearance on the Teen-X-Ray recording "Reckless", playing harp, and once played in an accoustic group with Debbie Hart and Dion Tweedie appearing at Waikato University in 1995.
