Nick Thomas and the Botswana Defence Force formed in 1995 and consisted of [[Nick Thomas]], Mat Jorgensen, and [[Geoff Doube]].  They played one gig, supporting [[Avant Garbage]] at their album release party and got in trouble for stealing a cask of wine from the lead singer of the headline act.  They had a minor hit with 'I wanna stick it in ya' before disbanding.  Mat Jorgensen and Geoff Doube then moved to Wellington and started The Seventeen Murderesses.
