The Wel Energy Trust Academy of Performing Arts is situated at The University of Waikato. Opened in 2001, the building holds the Gallagher Concert Chamber, a 340 seat venue specifically designed for acoustic chamber music. Neil and Tim Finn performed here after recieving honorary doctorates from the University in 2001.
