The Wel Energy Trust Academy of Performing Arts is situated at The University of Waikato. Opened in 2001, the building holds the Gallagher Concert Chamber, a 340 seat venue specifically designed for acoustic chamber music. Neil and Tim Finn performed here after recieving honorary doctorates from the University in 2001. Outside of the eastern side of the building is the Lake Stage, designed for musical outdoor performances with seating for up to 120. The official website can be found here [1].
