sink \ sink formed in early 2010, its first line-up comprising of ex-Laughter in the Mainsail members Jamie Dryden (vocals), Alan Deare (bass), joined by Gareth Schott (guitar) and Greg Thomas (drums). The band disbanded in November 2010, with Dryden and Deare going on to form Blood Pops (2011-) and Schott retaining the name sink \ sink
sink \ sink appeared on the birds of passage curated charity compilation album Tomorrow's Conversations (May 2011)[1]
sink \ sink second and current line-up includes Gareth Schott (songwriter and multi-instrumentalist), Kim Schulke (vocals) and Callum Plews (programming and production).[2]
This line up released a debut EP (via childrenplay records, UK) entitled Center Folds EP, in July 2011.
Debut album, The Darkest Dark Goes is due for release in 2012 through Feedback Loop Label (Portugal)[3]
Song 'Black Gold' is due to feature on a compilation put together by UK independent label, Invisible Girl. The promo video [4] for Black Gold was included in the 2011 HUFF: Hamilton Underground Film Festival, curated by Emit Snake Beings
sink \ sink have recorded a cover of Hamilton-band Laughter in Mainsail's Hardbitten with LA based singer-songwriter Gary Sunshine on vocals. Sunshine is a former member guitarist/songwriter for Circus of Power (RCA & Sony/Columbia Records), NY Loose (Punk Pop w/Shock, Fiction, Flipside & Hollywood Records) & The Silos (RCA). He has also completed assorted session work including Guns N Roses & Gravity Kills.
