Deathnir (pronounced "death near") are a heavy metal band, who had their first performance at Biddy Mulligan's Band Battle in July 2013. After making it through the regional finals in 2014, they played at the Battle of the Bands 2014 National Championship in Auckland on 20 December. The have releases one self-titled EP, and their debut album Die by the Axe in 2015.
