Shinkasta formed in 1992/1993 and played until 1996. The released a self-titled 7-song EP in 1996 on Barricade Records. The members went on to various other metal bands; Bennett went onto sing for Daredevil, guitarist Stu played for State of Grace, bass player Mark Newbold played in My Two Cents, Vargas, Redshift and Evil Priest, the drummer Andrew also played for Vargas.
