Masochrist were a black/death metal band formed in 1998, featuring Phillip Wright (vocals / guitar), Julian Baddie (ex-Thundermonkey and Swamp Goblin; bass), and Dane (drums).

Releases included the Inferno Black single (1998), Nothing Is Forever album (1999), and Eternal Antichrist EP (2000).

All three went on to form Ruin in 2001, and Wright and Baddie went on to D'Maskus in 2003.
