Oh meeoowwwww.
This all seems pretty pointless to me. He said, she said. Anyone think anything beyond the first sentence worth keeping? -thedugganaut

Totally agree with you aye! Totally!!

Seriously, who cares?! Anyone would think a bunch o' girls run this site! LOL haha

Okay, so I have deleted most of the article, at least temporarily. I dont know Shayne Malone, I dont know Gian Perrone, and I dont know the anonymous users who posted here initially (125.238.106.43) or subsequently. My problem here is that I feel this probably constitutes internet bullying. Maybe Shayne Malone is in on this and it is just an in-joke, but without that knowledge I have to go with the former (and looking at what was posted in the article towards the end thats probably a fair assumption). So thats why I care, anonymous user above. Regardless of what may or may not have been done by Shane Malone, I dont see the original post in this thread as being any more ethical to what was alleged, posting gossip anonymously using just an IP address. I only occasionally read what is on htown.co.nz (and im not a registered user there), and i dont know how easy it is to obtain IP addresses from posts - I hope it doesnt require a host to reveal this information as that also wouldnt be ethical. Regardless, I have "protected" the "Shayne Malone" page, and this discussion page, so only registered users can post, so that at least it cant be done so cowardly. Maybe i am being precious, but I still feel this site is primarily for documenting Hamilton music and musicians - that doesnt mean it should be without a sense of humour, but I dont believe it should be for anonymously posted gossiping. It also shouldnt be for a particular group of Hamilton musicians, or to act as a document of peoples favourite htown.co.nz threads... -thedugganaut 4 June 07
