Evernight was active in 2003-04, a follow-on incarnation of Ruin.
Evernight

Core members were Julian Smith (guitar/vocals), Phil Wright (guitar/vocals), Bryan Jacobson (drums), Jenny Spark (keyboard/misc sounds) and Sarah Richardson (bass/vocals). Paul Schwarz also joined briefly on bass.

The name Ruin was kept for a time after Sarah & Jenny joined in early 2003, but it was soon decided that a name change was appropriate due to the new members and evolved sound. Eventually the name Evernight was settled upon (also the name of the band's epic 10+ minute title track).

Evernight played various gigs around Hamilton, including the 2003 Battle of the Bands and 2004 Vampyres' Ball. They recorded some tracks with the help of Dean of the Red Room studio as well as recording several on their own (yet to be released).

The group essentially disbanded at the end of 2004. Phil now plays in Paeroa-based Casus. Bryan, Julian & Jenny recently formed (the ephemeral) Red Moon Rapture.
