The Riff Raff statue, of the character Riff Raff from the musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is situated on the former site of The Embassy Theatre on Victoria St. The statue commemorates former Hamiltonian Richard O'Brien who wrote the musical and appeared as Riff Raff in the 1970 movie. O'Brien wrote several of the songs featured in Rocky Horror while living in Hamilton, and has stated "My devious character was certainly formed in Hamilton or the times I had in Hamilton."
The Embassy Theatre was the home of the Late Night Double Feature Picture Show and the barber shop where Richard O'Brien cut hair between 1959 to 1964.
