Hailing from Te Kuiti, John-Paul Young is the former singer songwriter guitarist from the Clampers. He now lives in Wellington. He has played and recorded with now defunct outfits Dangerpin and Strangelove, and more recently solo, releasing the LP Jilted in 2006 and The Te Kuiti Underground in 2009. Young has recorded and played at various venues in Wellington accompanied by cellist (and former Hamiltonian) Jane Pierard.
