A largely electronic band from the early 1990's, Love and Violence were for a short period a popular live act, playing a particularly memorable gig at the University of Waikato's Orientation 1994.

Love and Violence initially featured brothers Andrew Newth and Scott Newth, and later added Scott Brodie on guitar. They released one CD The Nth Times on Airwigg records in 1993, including the song Sin which recieved much airplay in Contact 89FM at that time.

Another song, Violator, appeared on the Discordia Concors CD.
