Bleed
Bleed were in existence between 1995 and 1996. Their members were Shelly Longdill on vocals (spelling may be incorrect), Maria Eaton on bass, Roger Milne on guitar and Clare Baker on drums. They played a number of live shows around Hamilton at venues including The Exchange and Corso Poverty and Recycling Shop, and appeared at the Battle of the Bands 1996. The singer's distinctive voice was sometimes compared to Marianne Faithful and Nico from Velvet Underground. The song Assassination appeared on the 1996 compilation In Love With This Town and received some airplay on Contact 89FM.
Maria Eaton has since appeared as a member of Hell's Belles and the Hamiltones and the Tsunami Band. Clare Baker was also the drummer for WakaChikaWaka. Shelly Longdill it is said did not do anything else musically.
