Ross McMillan

Ross McMillan was a drummer and vocalist for various Waikato bands from 1985 to 1993. Starting with Rock band 'Russia' from 1985 to 1986 he was drummer and backing vocalist. Before heading to London in 1987, he had a stint with local covers band Stacey Bo, drumming and taking on some lead vocals, generally doing function work, and doing the odd pub gig. They also entered the 1987 Waikato 'Battle of the Bands', winning their preliminary round and made the final.

After returning from London, he joined the 'Living Proof Rock n Roll Roadshow' from 1991 to 1992, touring the North Island playing mainly club gigs.

The same lineup also performed under the 'Rocksyoursoxoff' banner, again taking on lead vocals while drumming, playing pub gigs. In 1993, he left Living Proof, and along with Phil Walsh ( Bass ), Tony Della ( Guitar, Keyboards ), and Mark Taylor ( Guitar ) formed the 'Outlaw Teddies', performing at pubs, clubs, and the odd private gig. Having 'retired' for over 20 years, he got the invitation to play drums on Phil Walsh's first solo album Scenes from the Movie in My Head in 2015, playing on 4 tracks.
